How Can Businesses Easily Access Funded Training?
On the 18th March FIESTA will run a half day conference to provide businesses with guidance on how to access funded training for both apprenticeships and the upskilling of existing workforces.
Since the introduction of the apprenticeship levy in 2017 the number of new apprentices in our sector has fallen significantly. Yet funded training for apprenticeships and upskilling is readily available to all sizes of businesses but is not being accessed. This event will provide a current overview of the wide range of training that is available for both levy and non-levy paying businesses. Manufacturers will provide case-studies on how they have made an apprenticeship process a core part of their businesses, detail the benefits that this has brought and highlight the potential issues that may need to be overcome.
Since 2017 FIESTA has been developing a tailored solution that will enable furniture and interiors businesses of all size to easily access funded training for apprentices and the upskilling of existing staff, and Skills Plus will be presented at this conference.
